Priority Registration Open for SAT
Today, the College Board opened up “priority” registration for the August, September, and October SATs. Priority registration is open to two groups of students:
- Students who registered for the June SAT or Subject Tests and didn’t cancel.
- Students in the Classes of 2020 or 2021 who don’t have a score yet.
“Priority” registration goes until June 3rd at 8 p.m. ET. Students in these two groups should register as soon as they can and certainly before the June 3rd, 8 p.m. deadline since each test center has a finite number of seats and many test centers may fill up exceptionally quickly due to limited space in accordance with social distancing practices. There will be a tremendous amount of demand for these exams, and no one wants to drive further than necessary to take the SAT.
After the June 3rd deadline, the College Board will open up registration to all students so any students not in one of the two groups above who wish to take one of these exams should set themselves a reminder to register shortly after 8 p.m. ET on June 3rd so they have the best chance of taking an exam at a nearby center.
The College board has additionally opened up registration for the November and December exams to all students, regardless of their previous testing status.
