ACT Test Registration

ACT test registration can be done one of two ways. The first, and easiest way, is to register online at the ACT website. Registering online for the ACT is faster and costs the same as the second way to register which is by mail.  With ACT test registration online you will know immediately if your preferred test center has space for you to test and you can print your admission ticket.

ACT Test Registration

ACT test registration must be done online if you plan to test at an international test center.

To register for the ACT through the mail you must request a register-by-mail packet. You can request a register-by-mail packet here. There are two situations when ACT test registration must be done by mail. They are 1) you are younger than 13 and 2) if you want to pay by check or money order.

The basic fees for the ACT are $33.00 for the ACT without the writing section or $48.00 for the ACT plus writing. It’s important that you register on time or there will be a $21.00 late registration fee.

The ACT also offers a Test Information Release (TIR) service. This service costs an additional $18.00 and is only available on the December, April, and June national test dates but it’s well worth the money. The benefit of order the TIR service is that you will receive a list of your answers, a copy of the multiple-choice test questions used to determine your score, the answer key, and scoring instructions. By using the TIR service you can see exactly which questions you got correct or incorrect.
